Mel was born the 4th child in a small house in the woods, miles away from a city. With three older sisters, she didn't get much attention, until her parents realized she was blind. Not that she realized it. Being a psychic type, Mel didn't have much trouble getting around, and it didn't bother her when she occasionally needed some help.
Her world has always been like that and she had never really known how much different it is from others'.

She had the ability to sense people's feelings well develop since early, which made her rare trips to town quite unpleasant. The many strong and usually heavy emotions from everyone around overwhelmed her and gave her terrible headaches. Because of that, she grew up mostly in the forest, exploring it all day long, and meditate with the trees.

When Mel turned 16, she decided to live on her own, in a clearing she was quite fond of in the heart of the forest, where a big wooden house was abandoned for many years.
She learned a little about making potions with a Roselia friend, and started to sell and trade her potions for supplies at towns.
She bough an old nidoking to help her around the house and made some close friends.

One fine day, Mel was doing her business, meditating in the forest, talking to the trees. It's not uncommon that other beings contact her in this state. But this day, something really weird did. Weird and immensely powerful. Mel was drawn to it.
Next thing she knew, she had teleported. But something was wrong, something else had happened. She quickly realized she was far away from home, but how far was impossible to know.
It seemed she couldn't use her psychic abilities anymore. Everything felt different. Most of her memory was gone.
And she actually wanted to touch the ground with her feet. What could all this mean?

Mel met an old friend again in the island, Tala, a female gengar. Both lost in a strange place, they clung to each other to restart their lives. Mel found a much stronger bond with plants now. It was beyond her usual ability to sense living things. She could actually communicate with them, which made her an excellent caretaker in a local flower shop. What she lacks in costumer service (and that she does), she makes up by providing the healthiest and happiest plants.
Time passed by and she got used to this new world and body. Tala became the closest friend she ever had. Close enough to blur the lines between friendly love and romantic love between them. But she didn't understand that. Her notion of couple was people gathered together to form a family, which she wasn't interested in doing anytime soon. (Children are noisy). She's surely a complicated challenge for Tala, in that sense. Wish her luck.
Recently, a psychopathic zoroark named Zafer tried to kill them both over and over, out of revenge on Tala. It was the first time Mel was involved in real, life or death battles. It surely made her a bit stronger, but it reinforced her loathe for violence and meanness; and made her extra uneasy around certain kinds of people.

Personality: Calm and usually quiet. It's very hard to really annoy Mel. A good way to move her is to bully someone/something smaller, though. (Including trees.) She is protective and caring by nature.
Quite shy and awkward around people she doesn't know, and even people she knows, because she never had much social contact with actual people through most of her life. That doesn't mean she's anti-social though, and she'll be as polite as possible to everyone. Even though her 'polite' might not be the common sense polite.
Recent events made her specially nervous around people who seem dangerous or threatening in any way.
Mel might want to avoid anyone sad or angry though, as the heavy emotions makes her feel bad.

Likes:
-Nature. She can sit listening to a waterfall and birds chirping for hours.
-Different scents. Sometimes she experiments with her potion herbs. She wants to learn to make perfumes one day.
-Sour food. She eats mostly berries, roots and herbal tea.
-To help. Yes, Mel will always help someone in need the best she can.

Dislikes:
-Violence. She's not the fighting type. If threatened, she used to just Teleport away.
-Noisy places or people. Mel enjoys the calm and quiet, and people yelling or busy city sounds gives her headaches.
-Touching. Specially surprise touching. Don't do it.
-To be underestimated. If it keeps happening, Mel will be frustrated.

Quick facts:
-Blind. Will keep her eyes closed around people, as she considers it polite. So please keep this in mind so I don't have to mention each post while rping. Thank.
-Senses emotions, which is how she finds/recognizes people.
-Mostly levitates everywhere.
-Barefooted. Always.
-Used to being Psychic, so suddenly being a Grass type gave her some trouble.

I'm genuily surprised over how little comments this app's got ono I'm sure her opriginal app has much more but still, this is such a beautifully drawn picture!!! I really, really can't get over how beautifully her feet are drawn, seriously gorgeous ;v; The pose and the shading instantly follow, I'm just really impressed sgfjkasdf

And on top of that she seems like a really nice girl too!! I sorta like how you typed out which happened where as well :3 (her original gardevoir design was gorgeous too btw, yes I looked it up/shotXD)
She must be a really nice character to rp with, maybe we could do that sometime ^^
